D.C. sues Juul, alleging e-cigarette maker marketed to teens

D.C. Attorney General Karl A. Racine (D) on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against Juul Labs alleging the e-cigarette giant marketed its products to teenagers and misled customers about their addictive quality.

The lawsuit alleging violations of local consumer protection laws is the latest in a string of government actions targeting the burgeoning vaping industry.
Vaping has exploded in popularity in recent years, including among teenagers, and has raised alarms in schools and among anti-tobacco advocates. Read full article here.
